Jillian Roche is a multi-hyphenate artist and educator based in Brooklyn but originally from New Jersey. At a young age, Jillian fell in love with the performing arts through dance. She dedicated the first sixteen years of her life to training in ballet, tap, modern, and jazz. She eventually joined a youth dance company and performed at iconic venues, including Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center, before transitioning into theater and filmmaking as she progressed into college.
Jillian graduated cum laude from NYU Tisch in May 2023 with degrees in Film & Television and Dramatic Literature. While at NYU, she found her place in the student-run theater and comedy scenes. She participated in improv and sketch and helped found the first-ever musical comedy group at NYU. Other highlights of her college career include performing at Radio City as part of the NYU Reality Show, directing a pilot for her Advanced Television Production course, and earning a Tisch Pro Funds Grant to produce a musical that she co-wrote.
Since graduating, Jillian has continued to study improv at The Second City and Brooklyn Comedy Collective and perform in comedy shows at The PIT, UCB, and other venues throughout New York City. She has also returned to her dance roots as a member of TAPFUSION, a dance company that combines the concepts of postmodern dance with the sounds of tap. In Fall 2025, she will return to NYU to pursue a Master of Arts in Educational Theatre with Initial K-12 certification.
